The Hong Kong Screw Association 2025-2027 Annual General Meeting and the Election of the 12th Council were successfully held.2025-12-12

On December 12, 2025, the Hong Kong Fastener Industry Association's 2025-2027 Annual General Meeting and the Election of its 12th Council were successfully held in Hong Kong. The event was a gathering of elites and distinguished guests, including the Association's Honorary Chairpersons, Honorary Chairpersons, Honorary Advisors, Executive Vice Chairpersons, Vice Chairpersons, Council Members, Secretaries, and member representatives. They gathered to review past achievements, witness the birth of a new leadership, and envision the future development of the industry. Chinese Fasteners Network, a well-known media outlet in the industry, was invited to attend and witness this historic moment.

The meeting began with a speech and work report from Mr. Xu Binghui, Chairman of the 11th Council. Chairman Xu Binghui, on behalf of the 11th Council, welcomed and thanked the guests attending the meeting, and systematically reviewed the achievements made during the term of the 11th Council in industry activities, member exchanges, expanding market opportunities, and strengthening ties with mainland and international counterparts. With the support of the 10th and 11th Councils, the Association successfully applied for and completed the TSF project under the Trade and Industry Department's "Business Support Fund," as well as over HK$6.15 million in government subsidies.

In his concluding remarks, Chairman Xu Binghui called upon the guests to continue supporting the new Council and contributing to the flourishing of Hong Kong's screw industry!

In accordance with the Association's Bylaws, the General Meeting reviewed and approved the "2024 Financial Report." This report clearly and objectively presented the Association's financial status and income and expenditure details for the previous year, reflecting the Association's high degree of transparency and standardization in its operations. It received unanimous approval from the attending members, ensuring the Association's continued healthy and stable operation.

One of the core agendas of this General Meeting was the election of the members of the 12th Council for the period 2025-2027, followed by a mutual election among Council members to determine the Chairman, Executive Vice Chairman, and other candidates. Mr. Wu Hongqiao, Chairman of Xiexing Screw Industry Co., Ltd., was elected as the 12th Chairman. Mr. Li Weiyu, Chairman of Hengyu Hardware Products Factory Co., Ltd., Mr. Cai Zhonghe, Chairman of Lida Screw Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Mr. Yan Gang, Chairman of Hong Kong Boyite Fasteners Co., Ltd., and Mr. Xu Fusheng, Chairman of Hong Kong Keli Wire Technology Co., Ltd., were elected as Executive Vice Chairmen.

The newly elected Chairman, Mr. Wu Hongqiao, delivered his inaugural address amidst warm applause. He first expressed his sincere gratitude to the previous council and Chairman Xu Binghui for their outstanding contributions, and felt deeply honored by the trust placed in him by the council. In his address, Chairman Wu Hongqiao outlined the work plan and key directions of the new council, including deepening the member service system, promoting industrial innovation and standardization, strengthening the training of young professional talents, enhancing exchanges and cooperation with domestic counterparts, and conducting international market research and investigation.

At the end of the meeting, all participating members, the new council members, and guests took a group photo, recording the spirit of unity and progress within the Hong Kong screw industry. This also symbolizes that under the leadership of the new team, the association will work hand in hand with all members to create a brighter future for the Hong Kong screw industry.

The successful holding of this General Meeting and Inauguration Ceremony was not only a successful organizational transition but also an important event that united the industry's strength and clarified its future direction. It marks the beginning of a new journey for the Hong Kong Screw Association, building on past achievements and leading the industry's development.
